This children`s jewellery music box is made of wood and painted in white and pink with a design that has a pictures of such a pretty fairy sitting among the blooms on the top and also on the front.
It is the largest of these wonderfully designed wooden jewellery boxes for children and so beautifully decorated.
The top lid is divided into three sections and the central section opens to reveal a full mirror and becomes the background to a spring loaded ballerina who pirouettes to the music of the box when the lid is raised.
This central compartment has a deep storage box lined in a pretty pink velour. The other two sections are similar and each has their own lid which is hinged to open to the side.
The musical jewellery box has a further drawer below lined in the same pink velour
The clockwork musical movement is wound by a key on the back of the box.
